Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We went to a major league baseball game yesterday. It sure was exciting to be at a big league ballpark with all interesting stuff going on: fireworks; loud music; trivia contests; a mascot race between innings. Oh yeah, and there was a baseball game too.

Mom scored these great club level seats from one of her friends who was out of town for the weekend. It was a day of absolutely perfect temperature. It was very sunny too without a cloud in the sky so it was nice to be in a spot that was shaded throughout the day.

Nate knows all about cotton candy. Mom went looking but couldn't find any nearby. She searched high and low. About two minutes after she returned with cotton candy in hand, a vendor walked through our section of the ballpark with, you guessed it, cotton candy.

Sean wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole event. Once the food ran out he was ready to go. Somehow dad managed to snap this photo in one of the rare moments when Sean wasn't wriggling and squiggling in his seat. We made it about five innings and noticed that the only other people leaving the stadium with us where other families with toddlers. Somehow they all melted down at about the same time on cue.

Dad loves his new camera, too. It almost looks like we're down on the field with the players!
