The Boat Show

We don't need a boat and we don't want a boat but when the weather turns bad and there's nothing better to do, it's time to turn the kids loose in a large open space. So we used the boat show as a big covered playground with lots of cool toys that offered all kinds of opportunities to explore. Dad enjoyed wandering through a bunch of stuff he couldn't afford, too. Oh, how the other half must live. We even spotted a certain famous politician with a penchant for yachting checking out the latest models.

Nate liked the cabin cruisers, especially the large ones with kitchens and bedrooms inside of them. He thought it would be a neat place to live. Well, we got news for you kiddo: it may be a big boat but it would be a really small apartment, even though it costs about as much as the average condo.

There were other toys too, like these scramblers. Nate and Sean enjoyed them as much as the boats! I couldn't quite figure out why these would be at a boat show but I suppose mariners have lots of equipment they need to haul from the marina to their vessels.
